Workshop Description:
This informative session will help you prepare for both expected and unexpected end-of-life situations. Learn the importance of planning ahead and how to complete advanced healthcare directive forms with confidence. All attendees will receive a free copy of The Caregivers’ Path to Compassionate Decision Making—a practical guide to navigating difficult decisions with clarity and compassion. Registration is required.
Presenter Information:
Brenda Birdwell, MSW, is Cancer Support Community’s support group facilitator and a Family Consultant at Coast Caregiver Resource Center. Teri Helton, MSN, PHN, RN, with experience as a hospice nurse, program manager, and educator who specializes in teaching, and the past chair of the Ventura County Coalition for Compassionate Care. Jordana Lawrence is with the Alzheimer’s Association, whose mother had dementia and cancer.
