Workshop Description:
Dying in California has changed over the years. The California End of Life Option Act (EOLA) went into effect in June 2016. This law allows a terminally-ill adult that is a California resident, to request a drug from his or her physician that will end his or her life. The EOLA requires annual reports by the California Department of Public Health, and its most recent report has all the data through December 31, 2022. We will review the report, discuss the EOLA process, and answer questions regarding all end-of-life care issues. If you have any questions you want Dr. Dial to cover, please email them to programs@cancersupportvvsb.org
