Workshop Description:
This compassionate workshop designed for those navigating grief, loss, and illness during the holiday season. Based on the teachings of Dr. Alan Wolfelt, one of North America’s leading death educators and author of Healing Your Holiday Grief, this session offers practical strategies to cope with the emotional challenges of the holidays while honoring loved ones. Participants will learn how to create meaningful rituals, practice self-compassion, and embrace community support to find light and hope amid sorrow.
About the Presenter:
Rev. Jonathan Timothy Stoner, MDiv, BCC
Jonathan Stoner is a Chaplain in the Division of Spiritual Care at City of Hope in Duarte. He holds a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary and has experience in multi-ethnic church leadership. A postulant for Holy Orders in the Episcopal Church’s Diocese of Los Angeles, his endorsing body for hospital ministry, he serves at All Saints Pasadena as a Lay Counselor, Eucharistic Minister, and in Healing and Health ministries. Previously, he facilitated a Survivors of Suicide Bereavement Group at Adventist Health Glendale. Additionally, he works as a Jail Chaplain in L.A. County, leading services and supporting inmates.
