Workshop Description:
Join us for an informative and empowering workshop dedicated to the latest advancements in breast cancer treatment. Breast cancer is a complex and ever-evolving disease, and staying up-to-date with the most recent developments in diagnosis and treatment is crucial for both patients and healthcare professionals. This workshop aims to provide a comprehensive overview of cutting-edge strategies, therapies, and research in the field of breast cancer treatment. The topics include early detection and diagnosis, personalized treatment approach, and surgical innovation.
About the Presenter:
Dr. Nikita Shah is a breast surgeon with City of Hope Thousand Oaks & Simi Valley. After earning her medical degree from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, Dr. Shah continued her training with Montefiore Medical Center in NY and a breast surgical oncology fellowship at University of Michigan. She has done research on the special needs of elderly breast cancer patients and published work on strategies to safely treat cancer in pregnant women. Dr. Shah says, “As a breast surgeon, my responsibility is to advocate for my patients — to ensure they are receiving the most up-to-date multidisciplinary oncology care in a compassionate manner.”
