Workshop Description:
Explore the psychological dimensions of cancer survivorship, featuring expert insights from an oncology psychiatrist on developing emotional resilience, mental well-being, and effective coping strategies. Gain practical tools to navigate fear, anxiety and depressed mood, while cultivating a meaningful and fulfilling life after cancer.
This session is also valuable for oncology and psycho-oncology professionals, highlighting the importance of recognizing and addressing patients’ psychosocial needs and facilitating timely referrals to support resources such as Cancer Support Community Valley/Ventura/Santa Barbara. About the Presenter:
Dr. Deane L. Wolcott is a psychiatrist in Los Angeles, California and is affiliated with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Adventist Health Simi Valley. He received his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 30 years.
