Workshop Description:
A medical crisis like cancer could leave you unable to communicate your own health care decisions. Planning now for your future health care can help ensure you get the medical care you want and that someone you trust will be there to make decisions for you. About the Presenters:
Ken Kossoff is a long-time member of CSCVVSB’s Board of Directors. Ken has been an attorney since 1984, and in practice in Westlake Village since 1998. He is an Estate Planning, Probate & Trust Law Specialist Certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Ken has decades of experience in helping people negotiate the maze of personal, emotional, business and legal issues that arise as people age and die. Ken is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and the Duke University School of Law.
Katie Wiltfong is a medical social worker with a Masters of Social Work from the University of Southern California. Katie has a background in home health and hospice care and has worked the last several years for Buena Vista Home Health, Palliative and Hospice as the Social Services Director. From her experience working with older adults and those facing terminal illness, Katie co-founded Solo Aging Solutions LLC, a company dedicated to providing informed healthcare decision making to clients when they are no longer able to do so for themselves.
