Workshop Description:

Knowing what to expect as you move through the health care system with cancer can be daunting as you interact with health care professionals and insurance companies, labs, x-rays and case managers. Having the skills to successfully navigate the health care system, includes communicating effectively with care providers and learning to the necessary tools for self-advocacy. If there is a health care issue , get more involved with your health care by asking questions, talking to your clinician, and understanding your condition. Patients and families who engage with health care providers should ask good questions and help reduce the risk of misunderstandings. Please join us and learn more about how to effectively communicate with your cancer treatment team.
